If they turn their back on what the believe just like team Hastert did, they will realize the same fate. The question is which ones have epistemological awaking to the point they jump ship and join Pence's team.

Hastert is the quintessential symbol for all that is/was
wrong with the Repubs.

Big, bloated, spineless leader of the party that forgot
to fight for life, liberty, property, borders, language and
culture.

They don't necessarily believe all the pro-gun and pro-life and fiscal conservatism stuff they said to get elected, or even some of it. I will be happy to see them hold to their stated principles but They are Democrats, after all, and how well dod the Republicans stick to their own small-government, fiscal-conservatism stuff?
