The man arrested on Saturday for sending more than a dozen envelopes containing "fake anthrax" to anti-war celebrities, journalists, and politicians may have ties to the conservative supersite Free Republic, RAW STORY has found.
Chad Castagana, a 39 year old Californian named as the FBI's prime suspect in the case, is due in U.S. District Court in Los Angeles today, where procecutors are expected to file criminal complaint against him for sending threatening letters through the U.S. mail. Castagana has an extensive online history, often writing about science fiction and conservative politics, and many bloggers are convinced that he is also a contributor at the conservative activist Free Republic website under the name Marc Costanzo.
Earlier today, users at the liberal websites Democratic Underground and Daily Kos brought to light the similarities between Castagana's Internet footprint and Costanzo's writings at Free Republic, and RAW STORY has found a series of eyebrow-raising connections between the two men.

I saw a reference to anthrax/powder when I signed on to internet (top story of AOL). I searched and found this story on Google and emailed info about it to marc costanzo (not realizing at that point it was posted). Pretty serious accusation of the Kos & DU nuts.

Larisa Alexandrovna is known as LalaRawRaw on DU She is pretty hot looking until you read her self-obsorebed and long winded posts. If you ever get the chance to have a little fun with her ...after it was over,,,you'd have to put flaming chopsticks in your ears to relieve the pain of having to pretend to listen to her.

Whether he's a Freeper or not, let's hope he's prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.

Raw Story never gets anything right. If they say that the guy is under suspicion by the FBI, he's probably really being considered for the Congressional Medal of Honor.

Raw Story is never right about anything. Their so-called scoops are usually worthless just like KOS. The DUmmies have been drooling over this story all day. The even thought that when Free Republic being down a little while ago was because the FBI did it. Freedom of speech is good only for them on their website but not ours - they call us terrorists because we don't follow their agenda. But in the meantime they can threaten and wish every Republican and the president dead and it's okay with them.

Sounds like they have who ever mailed them but still no proof he is a freeper
Authorities said they watched Castagana, who is unemployed, walk from his home to a public mailbox Thursday and deposit several letters. One was allegedly addressed to someone previously targeted and contained the white powder, the FBI said.

Not only that, but it has also been claimed that the guy is a user of amazon.com, google.com, and yahoo.com. In addition, it has also been claimed that the guy frequents flickr, youtube, and myspace, and has also been known to use skype and AOL instant messaging. He also has an account at nytimes.com and washingtonpost.com, and has contributed to wikipedia.com.
In other words, this is evidence of a far greater conspiracy than anybody has yet realized.
