I cannot imagine living in Lou Dobb's America. Thankfully, no one does live in his twisted hatefilled description of this, the greatest country on earth.
What must it be like to wake up every day and see nothing good, only ugliness and despair. What a pathetic man, and what a pathetic life he lives.
OT, white gold is it, but he won't tell me aanything else. Two weeks today. OK I am insane. :)
I don't know if any of you watched any of the speeches at the Federalist Society or not.
I missed Haley Barbour's speech...but I did hear his Q & A...
He was asked about fed $$$$ for Katrina damage..and he said that his state did just fine, thank you very much...and he said that Louisiana has the same federal government that his state does...and the FED did just FINE....LOL
He was asked about maybe running for the Senate some day...and he said that in all deference to the Senators...he told Sen. Lott one time that Senators go to Washington to talk about government...but, Governors actually DO the governing...(big laugh)...
I loved what I heard...I am going to try to catch a rerun of his speech later.
Then, Chertoff came on...and I missed most of his speech, but the part I did hear made me very uneasy...he was talking about how the US is already incorporating international law in our courts...using the Hamdan case as an example....and that we Americans will just have to get used to having international law be more and more common in court decisions....BLECH!!!
I left him right then...but, at 5:00 PM EST this evening, Dick Cheney will be speaking in front of the Fed. Society LIVE...I plan on watching that one.
