Talent isn't busy. Why not him. Because that choice wouldn't have divided the party enough. /s

Somebody needs to get their facts straight. First, "GOP officials" were saying it was gonna be Steele, now it's gonna be Martinez? What's the point of putting in a guy who already has a job? Martinez should stay in the Senate. Steele should be in charge of the RNC.

Dear Senator Steele,
Thank you for your inquiry as to the RNC chairman position.
Unfortunately, you don't meet the de facto Spanish language
requirement.
Additionally, your native-born status is a non-starter
as regards the position.
Good luck in your continued efforts on behalf of the "We're MORE
for illegals than the Democrats" party.
Signed,
RNC Chairman Selection Committee
The push for amnesty begins.
That was a done deal as of last week's election.

I'm almost certain, he is temporary and nearly as certain that Michael Steele is going to get a cabinet postion so he will look good for a VP choice.

BAd choice. Steele would have been great, but they had to choose a "moderate" RINO nonentity.

They STILL haven't figured out that moderates are one reason why we lost last week? Sigh.

He better be temporary. The article says he's not going to leave his senate seat. So why bother to put him at the RNC? Steele said he would definitely consider running the RNC. I don't know what cabinet position he would get. I hope not HUD. Steele should be in a prominent position.

He has a D on immigration. That's all I have to know.

Mehlman wasn't good. Martinez won't be better. Any other comers? RNC's pool of knudniks is quite long.
