Make him head of CIA. He has the history that will ensure payback.

Hopefully, he won't find one.

Besides, that whole scene with him dating someone else and his wife in the same governor's mansion was sort of strange. Not that everyone's a saint.

Would Giuliani get the centrist vote?

Got this in my email today:

"This election was not a rejection of conservative principles
per se, but a rejection of corrupt, complacent and incompetent
government... It is also notable that the Democrats who won or
who ran competitive races sounded more like Ronald Reagan than
Lyndon Johnson. This election does not show that voters have
abandoned their belief in limited government; it shows that
the Republican Party has abandoned them. In fact, these results
represent the total failure of big government Republicanism. The
Republican Party now has an opportunity to rediscover its identity
as a party for limited government, free enterprise and individual
responsibility. Most Americans still believe in these ideals, which
reflect not merely the spirit of 1994 or the Reagan Revolution,
but the vision of our founders." ---Sen. Tom Coburn

Certain Freepers vow to vote for Hillary instead of any Republican who doesn't agree with them on every single issue under the sun.

Some don't agree with him on any issue. The Second Amendment and the perverts pretty much sinks him for most...

But since Giuliani was perfectly happy to sit on his hands and let Mrs. Clinton remain as his senator, why should any Republican trust that incompetence or that of Ken Melhman???

To be truthful, the Christians I surround myself are of like mind. We understand that you MUST vote for the lesser of 2 evils sometimes. We even campaign for them.

I will say this, unless WE start a groundswell movement RIGHT NOW, we will have a choice between, McCain, Romney or Rudy. PERIOD! End of story!!!!

I CHALLENGE all FReepers to come up with a consensus candidate (as best we can), start a petition, and get the ball rolling! (Where are the FReepers of the same ilk that took down Dan Rather??)

If not, be ready to either support the three I mentioned earlier, or Hillary WILL be President. She is banking on our division!

NOW is the time to FIGHT for the candidate of OUR choice or shut-up and live with the consequences! My choice: Haley Barbour

"Giuliani is married to Judith Nathan in his third marriage. He has two children, Andrew and Caroline, from a marriage with Donna Hanover, and one stepdaughter, Whitney, from the relationship with Nathan. Giuliani was also previously married to Regina Peruggi." --wilkepedia

Rudy would have absolutely DESTROYED Hitlery in that election if he didn't get cancer.

I think he dropped out because he was afraid that he was going to lose to Hitlery

RUDY HAD CANCER - That is the reason he dropped out. He could not get treatment and run a decent campaign. He was not going to lose to Hillary. Don't forget his father died of prostrate cancer. Rudy needed to get treatment and get it right away. Heck if it was a choice between the Senate seat and living cancer free - I would chose life over the Senate wouldn't you? I'm a NYer too!

Well, as long as he's willing to nominate constructionist judges and leave legislating to the legislatures, I have no problem with him.

If people are holding out for a republican presidential candidate who will demand abortions become illegal merely by presidential decree (or a candidate that has no baggage, or one that demands armed/ fenced borders coupled with return of illegals, etc...), you'll be waiting forever.

A lot on our side have to get used to the idea getting mostly what you want. No one is going to agree with you 100% on every issue.

Rudy doesn't need to and didn't want to run for Senator of NY. Where the heck would that get him?

I suppose this is the point where we should give our opinions of Guillini.

Well let me state right now, I have no opinion.

Although I did hear a Dem talking head on Chris Matthews assert that the man participated in a very public and embarrassing affair and essentially humiliated his ex-wife. I too had heard rumors about all this but how about the Dems having a nasty spinmeister out already bashing the guy? Hey, even Chrissy thought it in poor taste.

My initial reaction is that I prefer Guillini over John McPain but beyond that, tell me why I shouldn't like the guy.
