Rudy deserves to have his chance in the primaries. However, I do wish FReepers would stop fawning over him this early and annointing him already. We're not fawning, we're just hoping for a candidate who can win.
It would be nice to have candidate that has the ability to steal some votes from the other side and garner moderate independent voters.
We'll need them because we can't rely on the fickle far right wing. If the candidate ain't perfect they piss in their milk and go home. Who needs "friends" like that?

Those holier than thou types are insufferable. Like little children who just take their ball and go home when things don't go EXACTLY their way without even realizing that they are just cutting off their nose to spite their face.

You know, I'm getting pretty sick of your bashing on the Christian right. I, my husband, and every one of my "Evangelical, right-winged, religious nut-job" family members have been at the polls as far back as our 18th birthdays, and voted a straight Republican ticket EVERYTIME!!!!! If it weren't for us you would have had Al Gore on 9/11. Just remember that!!!

I predict Rudy will leave the social issues to the states. He'll say something like abortion/gay marriage should be decided by state legislatures and not by activist judges, or something.
I'm keeping an open mind on all of this. I like Rudy as a person but he's a liberal at heart & that's what scares me.

Who needs "friends" like that?I for one will absolutely not vote for anyone who is pro-abortion, no matter what party they say they're from. Nothing fickle about that.
