The shit is about to hit the fan in this country. Thanks for your service Ray.
sheesh I hate to see Ray go! What a great loss for California.
Is he retiring, or did he lose to the red tide?
For example, in campaigns past the wisdom was "be more like the Democrats," "don't appear on conservative talk radio, especially KSFO."
So the apolitical voter had a no-brainer choice: vote for the real thing or vote for the imitators.
That changed a little bit a couple of years ago -- though the Republicans opposed the Davis recall. That is, until it became clear that it was going to happen then they elbowed everyone aside and took over to get SchwarzenKennedy elected.
There will always be those who say that compromise and peace are better than freedom. We will be exhorted to lay down our arms to work together with those who would expand their power at the expense of our freedom. That is the sirens song. We cannot destroy our childrens future freedom on the shoals of a compromise to achieve a peace that increases the power of government. Diligence in the preservation of freedom requires a willingness to ignore the insults of those who counsel surrender to power. Our short term distress and unease will yield to the long term internal peace in the knowledge that we have done our duty for our children and grandchildren, that we have preserved this great republic for their enjoyment as our forbears preserved it for us.
He should run against Boxer.

Hopefully he will find a position as a spokesman for freedom and continue to fight the good fight.
How about a CA GOP takeover... I think Sundheim needs a new job.
May your future be brighter than ever.
