WASHINGTON (CNN) -- Rep. John Murtha, the anti-war congressman who is the likely new House speaker's pick for majority leader, fended off what he called "swift boat-style attacks" on his ethics record Tuesday.

Ever notice that the MSM always takes a shot at the Swift Boat charges but never says why they are wrong?
Saw the vid for the first time tonight on H&C, and saw Bob Beckel defend Murtha -- "hey, I didn't see him accept any money, did you?"
Bob was pretty pathetic tonight...justifying Murtha as a Majority Leader....lol
I'm definitely no fan of Beckel but you're right, tonight he was really pathetic.
When isn't he pathetic?
Very true....but, he kept asking Sean "how far will you guys go to try to smear one of ours?"
Duh, Bob,....the video was just played...didn't have to go far.
Plus, Sean never mentioned the trouble Murtha's brother is in ...or that their is some kind of away from Washington business dealings between Murtha and Pelosi.
Don't even get me started on how he has treated our troops.
NO, BOB Beckel....Sean actually went easy on Murtha tonight...and he is going to be one of the MAIN people in your nasty, dirty, corrupt party....LOL
I saw that a few days ago, on Hannity and Colmes, and Colmes asked the investigative reporter "isnt the timing a little suspicious?!? I mean, the man is up for reelection in a few days and this seems like a political move on your part!"
The guys dismissed that at first. I would have said "hell yes this is political! The man is about to be reelected to a POLITICAL office, and his people should know the scum theyre voting for!"
I love when politicians (pot) say other politicians (kettle) are being political (black). OF COURSE THEY ARE!
Huh? What does that mean? Sort of like "National Guard-style attacks"?
Largely refuted? When did that happen? I must not have gotten the memo.
The way I remember it, the Swift Boat ads were effective because the were NOT refutable. Methinks the history changers are at it again.
