There's more, but that's my list of positives for now.
I like Newt as well. I could care less about his marital state. The man knows his stuff, and would TRASH hillary in debates as well. (That would be worth paying for!)
It's one thing to have good ideas, and I agree Newt has good ideas. Being an effective leader is a whole other kettle of fish, and Newt ain't it.
Spot on. There are many around here who have never heard him speak, have never heard of his Contract with America, or just plain don't understand it.
I have the utmost respect for Newt and enjoy his knowledgeable span of history. The man has a true understanding of conservatism.
My only fear regarding Newt is wheher he is tough enough. I believe he shares a fatal flaw with Clinton - a need to be liked. I need to see more backbone in the man.
I'll take another Georgian though - 'Spitballs' Zell Miller! Yes, I know he's technically a democrat. Minor little sticking point.
I like Newt, but the guy has a certain edge that turns many off. May I suggest a Ronald Reagan "makeover"?
