Damn! If you're not to busy, could you become head of the RNC. If we had more thinking like that, we'd still be the majority party.
To: PeskyOne
If there's anything lower than what you said, Lincoln Chafee is it. He should be required to return all monies the RNC gave him for his campaign. He accepted it under fraudulent terms...he is NO REPUBLICAN! Why blame him. Who propped him up to stay in office? There's your culprits.

Everyone... go to his website and send him a note.

I've been wondering myself why they can't just reorganize the committee now before the term ends. I don't know if there is any rule against it, other than tradition possibly. If Linc can be removed Frist needs to get this done.

Someone should whack this guy in the head with a 2 x 4.

If there was, it would take a set to invoke the rule. This is Frist we are talking about here.

Couldn't they just kick him out of the committee?
Good question.

I don't think they can kick him off the committee unless he did something illegal. Stupidity does not count.
To: dfwgator
I agree.
Option 1: Get Chaffee's commitment to "abstain" from voting on Bolton.
Option 2: Expel Chaffee from the committee.
Option 3: Expel Chaffee from the GOP because of the unspecified "ethics problem" that Democrats have used to make him their puppet.
Option 4: Bring Bolton's nomination to the full Senate without "committee approval".
I wonder if Presidential-candidate Frist will choose to demonstrate his leadership skills by doing any of these?

You do have a very good point, but Lincoln Chafee knew he wasn't a Republican at heart, and he should have switched parties and run as a Democrat. We were going to lose that seat anyway, and we sure didn't need to waste the money we did on that scumbag. Chafee was dishonest, and the RNC was less than smart.

Come on, guys. Like you didn't expect this.
Didn't you see that clip where he says he is GLAD that the Dims won? He is (was) a through-and-through lib.

Another good example of why the current regime needed to go While they may have 'needed' to go. . .
Despite the pain of RINO's; our current Repub Party could not afford to 'have them go'.
