Homosexual Activists Want to Censor ex-'Gay' Message

An informational flyer distributed by an ex-"gay" group at a Maryland high school has administrators, faculty, and students who support homosexuality seething. Parents and Friends of Ex-Gays and Gays (PFOX) recently passed out the flyer to 3,000 students at Montgomery Blair High School in Silver Spring.

The handout distributed by the ex-homosexual group states its belief "in unconditional love for family members with same-sex attractions" and its goal of seeking "to eliminate prejudice and discrimination against former homosexuals." PFOX executive director Regina Griggs says those who are raising angry objections to the flyer distribution are demonstrating intolerance.

Love seeks , IMO, the best for the other person and that means telling the other person you're doing what is harmful and you're going to stop it.

It says the parents, teachers and administrators were "seetihing" over the flyer but it doesn't say what their complaints were, or quote anyone who was upset or show the whole flyer.

I don't see how there is enough here to assess.

They are agry over the fact that these are ex-gays passing out these fliers preaching tollerence.

by claiming they are "ex- gays" means that Faggotdom is a mental condition of some sort that can be unlearned like any other bad habit (masterbating excesively for instance)

Could be that's what happened - my point was the article doesn't contain enough information to conclude anything - we don't have the flyer, we don't have the objection or the names of anyone who objected or why they objected.

I myself remember an ex-gay coming to my youth group and telling his testimony. The guy married and had two kids after finding Christ. Homosexuality is a choice.

I bet that many of those ex-gays became gays by pedophiles molesting them and became ex-gays by getting treatment.

I didn't think Cameron is taken very seriously even by people in the reparative theory/ex-gay movement. E.g., I had a copy of the Satinover book and he never cites Cameron. Cameron is the source of the dubious statistic that gay men die on average before 43, even when they don't have AIDS. This was based on a study he did that looked at obituaries in certain gay publications. But he is not a trained sociologist, he's a psychologist, and he made a laughable error--he failed to correct for the age of the readership of the publications he examined.

About pedophilia: What is true is that males are the predominant offenders, and it is true that their targets are often male. But the rub is that most of these offenders are not sexually interested in adult males. Pedophiles who are sexually attracted to women are sometimes attracted to prepubescent boys because these children are feminine. Such pedophiles don't self-identify as "gay." Most gay men seek masculine men, a quality that prepubescent children don't possess.

Incrementalism. The Sex Positive Agenda is doing well using the Homosexual Agenda as a battering ram against society's mores and morals.

We ended the discussion on IF teens should be having sex and switched it to "when" by putting condoms in schools.

The Sex Positive Agenda wants the end all moral judgements on sexual pairings regardless of sex, age, relation, marital status, number, or species of partner(s).

They oppose abstinence, not because it doesn't work but because it is a "suppression" of sexual desires (same concept they have to resisting homosexual urges).

Kinsey and Reich saw sex as a child's birthright and the Sex Positive teachers want everyone sexually active at every age. There is no concept of "age appropriate" activity.

And our tax dollars fund this subversive agenda.
