SOMERSET, Pa. -- A Somerset man is accused of breaking his infant's leg and shocking the baby with a stun gun, WTAE Channel 4's Jennifer Miele reported on Thursday.
Brandon Alan Austill, 21, was arraigned on charges including six counts of aggravated assault and eight counts of reckless endangerment.
Somerset Borough police said Austill admitted to smashing the infant's head against a bathroom sink and a dining room table. Police said Austill also bent the infant's leg until he heard it break and jolted the baby with a stun gun.
The baby's injuries included a broken left tibia, broken left ulna, broken left femur, face fractures and two skull fractures.
Police allege that abuse occurred between Sept. 11 and Oct. 31 at Austill and the baby's mother, Brianna Clark's, apartment. Some of the alleged abuse occurred when the baby was only 4 days old, authorities said.
The baby was flown from Somerset to Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh on Oct. 31 and is still recovering.
Austill is being held in the Somerset County Jail on $75,000 bond.
just the lovely results of a society that condons killing babies. If babies are worthless enough to dispose of at any time during their in-womb growth, why should anyone consider them of any value after they are born.
I want a great torture penalty. And I volunteer to administer it, once the person is convicted.
Git a rope
ONce again the title of a story doesnt reflect the content. Using the stun gun sounds to be the least of what he did to this poor child.
A 10 sledge hammer to the legs, arms, and groin would be appropiate punishment for this guy.
Sick!
And/or is on drugs.
Hey, in this case, I say "an eye for an eye". Except it needs to be proportional, him being much bigger and older than the baby, a few more bones should be broken and the electrocution should last a bit longer.
I think a public stoning would be an appropriate punishment for this scum.
I just wish we had some Biblical style justice in cases like this. The "eye for an eye" kind of thing. This evil man would deserve no less.
The Chair of the Ethics Department at Princeton would have it legal to kill babies up to one year old. So this child would hardly even be a blip on his radar.
Sick freak.
Serious? SERIOUS?!?
The article doesnt indicate where the mother was while this was happening. She didnt notice anything wrong? Why is she not part of the arrest/indictment? I mean, after all, this happened from Sept. 11 to Oct. 31, not overnight.
If I were that policeman behind him, I'd have a hard time not smashing his face into the glass.
Hang him off those big windmills just off the Turnpike and watch him go up....come down....go up....come down.
