In 1982 by wife and I honeymooned along the Mississippi/Louisiana gulf coast. We stayed at the Broadwater in Boloxi and drove over to New Orleans. Ate an Mary Mahoney's and marveled at the waterline Camille left in the lobby of the hotel. Took a tour of the Jefferson Davis house and saw those huge sub-floor beams. I thought that house could withstand anything Mother Nature could throw at it.
There was a lot to like about that area then. Things changed then with Katrina things really changed. I believe that area will eventually be back. And when it does there will be a lot to like about that area once again.

In 1964, my wife and I spent our honeymoon in a rented cottage on the beach at Biloxi. We could look out our window at the Gulf. Mot that we did much of that. Those were the days...
I moved from Louisiana, my home state, to northern Mississippi during Katrina, and I love it!
