.......Georgetown's position as a Roman Catholic college that is run by the Jesuit order.

Are you aware that Georgetown, the RC college run by Jesuits has recently accepted a very large donation from a Saudi prince? Are you aware that it was shortly after the donation that Georgetown began their purging of Christian groups? How long do you think it will be before Georgetown begins purging Catholic groups as well?

I guess I'll ignore all postings from you about religion in future, since you evidently think that everybody who does not accept the supremacy of the Pope is a nut job.

Any Christian who applauds the persecution of any other Christian qualifies as a jut job in my book.

Not quite. I think that anyone who believes that Catholics are not Christians is a nut job. Are you?

Why not just ban all religious groups from campus?

Most of those cases have had to do with the Christian organizations failing to follow school "diversity" plans because they require their leaders to be Christian.

So, satanists, muslims, Jews, etc. are all griping because they aren't allowed to be leaders of a Christian organization? Somehow, that part of the school's "plan" doesn't make sense.

And the Freedom of Religion was a particular hallmark of Rhode Island, the first state to recognize that right. What would Roger Williams say?

I grew up disliking the fact that fundmentalists told me, I couldn't or shouldn't drink, smoke, dance or kiss girls. Now the leftist tell me I can't drink, smoke or kiss girls (boys okay) and will get around to dancing sooner rather than later. I guess that it why the leftists don't complain about muslims, because they are against smoking, drinking, drinking and kissing girls too.

Interesting icon in the address bar of that url. A crusader shield.

I don't get it. What do you mean? (I mean computer-wise.)

Sometimes I think the way so-called 'liberals' treat Christians is not that far removed from the way the old Romans treated Christians, except today, lions are in short supply.

One would think attending an Ivy League school would be punishment enough.

I'm a member of Intervarsity Christian Fellowship at my school. If they try to ban the club there, they're going to be in for a major fight.

A friend of mine has a son who just started his freshman year in college. For his Poly Sci class, he wrote a report on illegal immigration. The professor gave the report back to him, and in every use of the phrase "illegal immigrant," the professor had scratched it out and written "guest worker."

We need to find ways to use our courts to prove that Islam is unconstitutional.

I have to ask, how is Islam unconstitutional? Do you mean the practice of Islam? If so, please explain.

I don't know if your browser picks it up, but in the address bar of the page, there is a little square graphic (icon). FR has one too. Red and blue with a star.

Where the heck did this come from?

Ironically, in almost all instances where that phrase was used back then, it meant freedom to worship the Christian God as one chose and not being forced to follow one denomination.

I'm sorry I didn't see your question earlier and I don't have much time right now. But I will give you this for starters. Islam is a complete system with its own laws - in other words, it is a state. Our Constitution specifically forbids a state within a state. Islamic law is incompatible with our Constitution.

Easily done, but they would say the Constitution is
for infidels...and there you have the conflict in a
nutshell.....

By the way, if you have some free time, you might want to google a bit and read what Jefferson and Adams had to say about Islam. Islam represents everything Jefferson was against.
