"Because, unfortunately, this is a growing problem of singling out Muslims or people perceived to be Muslims at airports, and it's one that we've been addressing for some time."
Hooper said the meeting drew about 150 imams from all over the country, and that those attending included U.S. Rep.-elect Keith Ellison, D-Minneapolis, who just became the first Muslim elected to Congress. Shahin said they went as far as notifying police and the FBI about their meeting in advance.

Right, Muslims have a "Radical Islam" problem, and THEY need to do something about it.
These SCUMBAGS are just pulling a stunt to provoke such a security response - now CAIR will have its cause celebre for the next few years. No one needs to openly pray in the tiny confined PUBLIC space of an airplane, especially in the post-911 world when they know it will terrify other passengers. If you have to do group prayers you have to do them OFF of commercial airplanes, where you won't bother or instill justifiable fears in other passengers that you might be 911-style hijackers.
These clowns knew exactly what they were doing, they just wanted to create such an incident and now that the Demaogogues are on the rise in Congress we can expect more and more such garbage.

BINGO!! How about that - the spokesman and apparent ringleader of this group of aggrieved Imams has ties to jihadist radicals, including fundraising for Hamas and past links to Osama Bin Laden himself.
These CAIR scumbags all try to hide behind noble-sounding charitable groups such as the "Kind Hearts Foundation" mentioned below as under investigation by the US Treasury Dept., and that is how a great deal of nefarious fundraising
has been conducted within the USA for Hamas, Hezbollah, etc.
These "Imams" are a wave of jihad-lovers trying to weaken our security, probe the security structures, and cause inflammatory crises when they are called on it.
If any of them are not US citizens they should be promptly deported. If they are all US citizens they need to be thoroughly investigated for their terrorist support and fundraising.
