The hearse story reminded me of my own story. Jan and I were coming back from MS on a 4 lane road. We noticed that all of the cars were on one side of the road but we were talking and not paying attention. None of the cars had their headlights on so we just got in the left lane and passed everyone. Imagine our surprise when we got to the first car and it was a funeral procession. Like I said we were not paying attention to the cars that were in the line of cars. Taught me something that day!

Damn, you are quick!!
And Thanks. Having two FReepers taking pics really gives some different perspectives
It was a great time. A was chuckling about it for hours afterwards.

I wish I was closer. Yuma has two bases in it, so there isn't much protesting (they like our money too much), but I wish I could be a help in a counter-protest somewhere.
I guess I'll just remain a Key Volunteer and help where I can.

I just clicked on FR and it was as slow as molasses. When it finally did, this story was the first one. I am getting ready to go to the drugstore to get me some Excedrin. I have had a headache for about 4 or 5 days. I was taking some Tylenol 3 and they just made it worse. It is a gorgeous day in AL but kind of chilly--45.

Great job on the FReep and AAR!!! Thanks!
And I'm sorry to say, even after the liberals took over both Houses, the moonbats haven't given up.
Of course not. Now they think they have a mandate to continue destroying our country.

Typical Libbies! No Bullhorns and the cops only get
called when they are not getting their way and they
are not winning the day. Sooo typical.
Keep up the good work folks....JJ61

Belated "WELCOME TO FREE REPUBLIC!!"
There are many ways to help the troops as I'm sure you know. With the holidays upon us I'm sure all the packages and cards you can send them will be most welcomed.
We all do what we can. That's what matters. And when you get to the D.C. area, let us know. The moonbats are everywhere here. I'm sure we can find something for you.
SEMPER FI and Happy Thanksgiving.

Another fairly new newbie to FRee Republic.
WELCOME!!
Yea, it is common for the moonbats to call the police on FR. That's one reason we watch what we do.

You can always start a positive Freep for the troops in your area. You don't have to wait until moonbats show up.

I'm not sure you did anything wrong. Passing one is OK, it's causing it to to be delayed or separated is a NO-NO.

My dh is an active duty Marine, so we are always involved in any pro-troops events here.
I'm cooking an extra turkey for the barracks for Thanksgiving.
I also do my part to boost hubby's morale ;-)
He & the rest of his unit are rotating to Iraq in late February, so we have been busy getting ready for that. After the holidays, it will be here before we know it. But this area is pretty pro-military. Not quite as much as Cherry Point/Havelock was, but not as bad as it was at Pendleton.
Thanks for the warm welcomes.
To: Doctor Raoul
I thought that too since I had no idea it was a funeral procession. But, I was born and raised in the South and we stop for those. It was also odd that no police escorts were seen. Guess it did not matter since it was in the backwoods of nowhere. It did turn off the road we were on right after I passed them. Made me feel odd for not knowing.

Great job, Olney FReepers! Sound ordinances are all about the decibles. Tell them to explain how many decibles are allowed and you will turn the volume down to that level. They'll have to get their own decible measurements to prove you went over, anyway. If they ever do measure it, they'll probably find out the highest volume of the bullhorn is below the level approved as highest allowed.
I think I spotted Waveman!
