Sarah Dozier, identified as a niece of the woman, told WAGA-TV that there were never any drugs at the house.Bet this is the first ever case of a 92 year old with no drugs in the home.

Another victim of the War on Drugs. Have we won yet?Another victim of the War on Literacy. Looks like the illiterates won.
As the plainclothes Atlanta police officers approached the house about 7 p.m., a woman inside started shooting, striking each of them, said Officer Joe Cobb, a police spokesman. One was hit in the arm, another in a thigh and the third in a shoulder.
They were shot when they approached the house, not when they entered the house.

D*mn fine shooting for a 92 year old woman. Those drugs must really pump her up.
Seriously, this is pretty poor PR for the guys in blue.

It probably was the ATF, trying to take her gun.

Happens all the time. And the little Nazis never apologize or clean up the destruction if they get the wrong house.

They were shot when they approached the house, not when they entered the house. Maybe, it's a toss-up, who are we to believe, the journalist or the niece?

Given the rest of that quote, I'm inclined to conclude that she's the ancestor of several generations of "original gangstas."

Hmm, I guess we can't own land now either.
Also, I'd love to see your reaction to some strange men with guns approaching your house in the middle of the night.

Less fun that opening fire on anyone and everyone like the keyboard Rambos threaten to do, but probably a wiser course of action.

Quote from the Atlanta-Journal Constitution in the other thread on this story: "92-year-old woman was killed after she shot three Atlanta narcotics officers Tuesday night when they broke down the front door of her home trying to serve a search warrant, police said."

The article in the Atlanta paper reporting this starts with this lead:
92-year-old woman was killed after she shot three Atlanta narcotics officers Tuesday night when they broke down the front door of her home trying to serve a search warrant, police said. The SPI is not famous for its great reporting. Even among NW newspapers.

I'm sure she panicked when they kicked that door down,"Hi, we're from the government, and we're here to help you".

"Politely inquire" - haha!

The outstanding Atlanta Police Department stands out once again.
