If Bush is smart he will veto everything this insane nut tries to push through the system to his desk. And this minimum wage thing is a joke. This one will have little or no effect on business since most pay more than that anyway. Some businesses that it might effect can probably work around it.
Many union contracts use the minimum wage as floor, so if the floor is raised by $2.10 an hour, everything above it goes up also.
But every labor union contract has a clause that automatically gives the contract members an equivalent hourly raise. A federal raise in the minimum wage is a gift to the unions.
That's why I'm willing to give them this one, but I want something in return for it.
