They needed the seat belt extenders to use as weapons.

Knowing Northwest, they were probably the only six "customers" on the plane. You gotta be crazy to fly Northwest!

A Powerline blog article, "More on the Six Traveling Imams" - makes for intersting reading.

Seems this Omar Shahin has ties to terrorist funding through several of his charitable and religous activities. Steven Emerson exposed his support for groups like Holy Land Foundation (terror funding charity) long ago.
Question: If Shahin is suspected of supporting terrorist activity, why the hell isn't he on a no-fly list?

If only we could get Muslims to boycott all airlines, we could dispense with airport security altogether. This has GOT to be one of the top ten quotes of the year!
To: capydick
The muzzies who flew to this conference probably scouted their airline in some way Exactly. We've read of several cases of muslims behaving in bizarre ways aboard a plane. I believe the intent is to provoke a response. Probably a companion is observing the activity surrounding them, and analyzing it, and also noticing the presence or lack of air marshals.
Its an important achievement if airlines are afraid to investigate muslims behaving strangely. Its also important to know how much time they have before security responds, and what is the precise trigger for a security response.

Yep, flew Agony Airlines so many times and they were always consistent. I never had a good flight on Agony Airlines and I love to fly.
To: Vinny
The idea that a Muslim boycott against US Airways would hurt the
airline proves that Arabs are utterly tone-deaf. This is roughly
the equivalent of Cindy Sheehan taking a vow of silence.
How can we hope to deal with people with no sense of irony?
The West isn't prepared to accept the answer to that question.
Much less act upon it.
