Ahmadinejad claims: World Shows Signs of "Ahmadinejadisation"

  • Adnkronos International reported that Ahmadinejad says his recent trips abroad have accelerated what he describes as the world's "Ahmadinejadisation". The Iranian president has repeatedly described himself as the "saviour of the world."

 

Hezbullah: We got 300 million from Iran.

  • YNet News reported that Hezbullah Deputy Secretary General Naim Kassem admitted that his organization was receiving USD 300 million in financial aid from Iran for rehabilitation purposes.

 

Iranian Walesa Re-Arrested.

  • Iran Press News reported that Mansour Osanlou, director of the greater Tehran bus drivers’ union who was on his way to the labor bureau, was brutally attacked on the street, in front of witnesses. His assailants were plain clothes secret service agents of the Islamic regime, who after beating Osanlou, shoved him in the back of a car and sped away.

 

US warns Iraq's President not to join Iranian meeting.

  • Eli Lake, The New York Sun reported that the American Embassy in Baghdad warned Iraq's president not to take up an offer to meet with the Iranian and Syrian leaders in Tehran, two administration officials said.
  • US/Russian Presidents agree to coordinate efforts on UN Iran resolution. RIA Novosti reported that the presidents of Russia and the United States have called on their foreign ministers to coordinate efforts to draft a UN Security Council resolution on Iran's controversial nuclear program
  • The Jerusalem Post reported that Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said Tuesday that Moscow was concerned over Iran's plans to expand its nuclear activities, and called on the country to fully cooperate with the UN nuclear watchdog.

 

IAEA delays ruling on disputed Iran atom aid.

  • Reuters reported that a divided U.N. nuclear watchdog has put off until Thursday ruling on Iran's bid for aid for a project the West fears could yield bomb-grade plutonium, but is still likely to block such assistance.
  • Gulf News reported that western powers urged the UN nuclear agency on Monday to deny Iran's request for help with a plant that could yield plutonium for atom bombs, but Washington voiced no objection to seven other projects presented by Tehran.

  • Yahoo News reported that an Iranian cleric has offered his house as a reward to anyone who kills an Azeri writer he says insulted the Prophet Mohammad.
  • Iran Press News reported on the excution of five young men in a gymnasium in the province of Golestan and another five in Khorasan.
  • Amir Taheri, Gulf news reported that three war clouds hang over the Middle East. The first represents the possibility of American or Israeli military action against Iran's nuclear installations. The second represents the threat of a fresh civil war in Lebanon. The third points to the growing threat of military clash between Israel and Syria.
