In Moscow, however, President Putin said: ‘As far as I understand from the medical statement, it does not say this was the result of violence, this was not a violent death.’

There's your sweet heart.

Death by radiation poisoning is not a loud death being beaten to death with a baseball bat death but the violence that is done to the body is terrific.

Internal hemorrhaging on the cellular level. Your gums and intestines bleed.

Your immune system is ravaged so you are subject to any and all infections, your intestinal flora will run wild and you will have constant diarrhea

And of course your hair will fall out so when you finally die you will look like Yule Brenner.

1. Polonium-210: A Volatile Radioelement in Cigarettes (1964)
Polonium-210, which emits alpha particles, is a natural contaminant of tobacco. For an individual smoking two packages of cigarettes a day, the radiation dose to bronchial epithelium from Po210 inhaled in cigarette smoke probably is at least seven times that from background sources, and in localized areas may be up to 1000 rem or more in 25 years. Radiation from this source may, therefore, be significant in the genesis of bronchial cancer in smokers.

Polonium-210
This isotope of polonium is an alpha emitter that has a half-life of 138.376 days. A milligram of 210Po emits as many alpha particles as 5 grams of radium. A great deal of energy is released by its decay with a half a gram quickly reaching a temperature above 750 K. A few curies (gigabecquerels) of 210Po emit a blue glow which is caused by excitation of surrounding air. A single gram of 210Po generates energy at the rate of 150 watts. Since nearly all alpha radiation can be easily stopped by ordinary containers and upon hitting its surface releases its energy, 210Po has been used as a lightweight heat source to power thermoelectric cells in artificial satellites. A 210Po heat source was also used in each of the Lunokhod rovers deployed on the surface of the Moon, to keep their internal components warm during the lunar nights.

Polonium is a highly radioactive and toxic element and is dangerous to handle. Even in milligram or microgram amounts, handling polonium-210 is very dangerous and requires special equipment used with strict procedures. Direct damage occurs from energy absorption into tissues from alpha particles.

The maximum allowable body burden for ingested polonium is only 1100 becquerels (0.03 microcurie), which is equivalent to a particle weighing only 6.8 × 10-12 gram. Weight for weight polonium is approximately 2.5 × 1011 times as toxic as hydrogen cyanide. The maximum permissible concentration for airborne soluble polonium compounds is about 7,500 Bq/m3 (2 × 10-11 µCi/cm3).

Polonium has been found in tobacco smoke from tobacco leaves grown at some specific places, as a contaminant [2] [3] and in uranium ores.

In that picture with the President, I don't know about everyone else, but the look on his face and that grin is not of a honest man.

What would be your weapon of choice? Maybe Polonium210?

Yep... I'll tell you the day I heard on the news he had become President of Russia the hair on the back of my neck stood on end. I haven't see anything to dispel the sense of foreboding since then,

None of this is funny for the world. If the Muslims take over friends, they will also take over Frances force de frappe. And if they take over Russia, they will take over the largest nuclear arsenal in the world.

Nuclear weapons are only useful for a relatively short time. They need a lot of maintenance in order to remain reliable and potent.

One thing most of your Muslim countries lack is technological know how mostly they rely on contractors for the high tech work they need.

If they were to control Russia they would gain a great deal of tech know how and Russia would gain a vast infusion of wealth.

Question is which is scarier Muslims with High Tech or Russians with almost limitless financial resources?

In the end who would control who?

I believe Putin wanted this man silenced, but why do it in a way where all fingers point back to him? Is he so deep into the catbird seat that he feels he can do anything? How will the west respond to THIS evil? More shrugging of shoulders and Pooty-pooty-pooting?

Somehow the muzzies don't seem to be the patient hold-em type. I don't think long-term maintenance concerns matter when the birds have already flown.

Wouldn't a place like London have radiation sensors all over that would have lit up like a Christmas tree when the assassin(s) smuggled this stuff into town?

It is an alpha particle emitter. A few inches of air would stop it. It is only lethal if ingested. You could place it safely on your desk and work day after day with no danger. Eat it, drink it, or breath it and you are dead.

IF Your talking about I’m-a-dim-jihad I’ll agree with you. That guy wants Armagedden.

Most Muzzies I think are a little more rational. They know if they launch on us they are toast.

Yeah, several other posters explained that earlier. I knew alpha radiation was relatively safe from the long-gone days (early 90's) when I was a FEMA-certified radiological monitor, but didn't know the
specifics of the element in question.

Somebody in the White House better wake up, re-check Mr KGB eyes, and take the required overdue action before the neo-Soviet Empire & their terrorist proxies (Iran & Syria) do!

"The West needs to take Putin out. Now."

Recall how the West's leaders appeased the last evil monster until he triggered World War II resulting in over 50 million being slaughtered. We clearly see the implications of inaction, but our so-called elected 'leaders' continue ignoring the obvious course. Time makes the enemy stronger.
