# June 14th, 1941 Deportation of "anti-Soviet elements" from annexed Baltic States (in accordance with instructions set out in NKGB Order No. 001223):

* from Lithuania (18,000) to Altai Krai, Novosibirsk Oblast, Kazakhstan and Komi ASSR;

* from Latvia (17,000) to Krasnoyarsk Krai and Novosibirsk Oblast of Russia and Karaganda oblast of Kazakhstan

* from Estonia (10,000) to Kirov Oblast and Novosibirsk Oblast. Of those seized during the one-night operation, over 80 percent were women, children, or elderly people. The purpose of this action was to create terror

I agree...Good call there!

Its amazing how they can state a generic "support" of something, yet always have that one (or more) annoying little detailed (armchair diplomat) critique of something based upon a safe "hindsight is 20/20" perspective...

I see that a lot in academia, and other liberal/socialist elitist brain-castes...

Well said. An evil empire is an evil empire, regardless of the various hats it chooses to wear from one day to the next. The Czars enforced censorship as the Communists did, as the ruling Party there does today. And only one religious organization is favored there, as it was throughout the Soviet years.
