>>>>>"Americans have the warmest feelings about former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani, Republican"

BARF! It'll be a cold day in hell before conservatives will pick Rudy as the GOP nominee in 2008.

Beyond his public appearences on TV in the immediate aftermath of 9-11, most Americans don't know much about Rudy Giuliani. They don't know Rudy is liberal on most issues and a hardcore social liberal --- pro-abortion on demand, pro-partial birth abortion, pro-gun control, pro-assault weapons ban, and he supports special rights for homos and illegal aliens. Another big government Republican. No way Rudy can overcome all those negatives and capture the GOP nomination.

In a lot of ways, I think whether Giuliani makes the ticket depends upon what happens in Iraq and what the Islamist crazies are up to the next 2 years.

If things go nuts and the Dims prove incompetent, he stands a good chance.

I'm betting on Romney, personally. He's got the charisma, and he seems more conservative than Rudy and less crazy than McCain.
