Muslim religious leaders removed from a Minneapolis flight last week exhibited behavior associated with a security probe by terrorists and were not merely engaged in prayers, according to witnesses, police reports and aviation security officials. Witnesses said three of the imams were praying loudly in the concourse and repeatedly shouted "Allah" when passengers were called for boarding US Airways Flight 300 to Phoenix. "I was suspicious by the way they were praying very loud," the gate agent told the Minneapolis Police Department. Passengers and flight attendants told law-enforcement officials the imams switched from their assigned seats to a pattern associated with the September 11 terrorist attacks and also found in probes of U.S. security since the attacks -- two in the front row first-class, two in the middle of the plane on the exit aisle and two in the rear of the cabin.

"That would alarm me," said a federal air marshal who asked to remain anonymous. "They now control all of the entry and exit routes to the plane."
They were probing our defenses.
They should only be deported after a thorough background check and a good long squeeze for information. If they're not US citizens just lock 'em up till they decide to talk.

Rather than attach the extensions, the men placed the straps and buckles on the cabin floor, the flight attendant said.
They were probing to see if they would be issued these extenders as a matter of course. Once they had them, they would make handy expedient weapons.

Yes Lurker, the incident is interesting.
Since this is their first offense, let them remain but their heads must be sent back to their countries of origin.

Thank you nopardons.
As always, you're most welcome. :-)
Omar Shahin of the Tucson Islamic Center said members of the Tucson mosque may have helped bin Laden in the early 1990s, when he was fighting against the Russians
There's more from FrontPage Mag. It seems the good imam is involved up to his neck with Hamas:
KindHearts’ Representaive, Omar Shahin. Shahin was an Imam for the Islamic Center of Tucson (ICT), the former home of numerous terror operatives, including Wael Jelaidan, who later helped found Al-Qaeda.
Peaceful imams my Aunt Fannie.

Thank you Lurker.

"Imam Omar Shahin of Phoenix you say?
You mean this Imam Omar Shahin?"
They are not only doing recon on security with their lawsuit they are attempting to force our security back a notch by using the PC in our justice system. Every avenue is being used to erode our defenses.
This creep Shahin is up to his neck in Hamas and AQ.
I'm trying to find out if he's a citizen or not. If he is, too bad. If he isn't he should be on the next plane to Gitmo.

A great call by the Captain. Can you imagine what Sheila Jackson Lee and her cronies would have done had these people hijacked the plane knowing what we do about their behavior prior to boarding and after? All hell would have broken loose about the lack of security, screening, etc. etc. I smell a big lawsuit and I hope they are laughed out of court, yet, I doubt that will ever happen. Like someone said above, keep them here but send their heads back to their homeland.
I'm certain it was recon too. It sure po's me that the media is giving them so much mileage with their discrimination lawsuit claims. I think that is just more of their strategy. Soften our defenses.
Could this be a setup in which they were expecting to be thrown off the plane and could then file a lawsuit? A quick settlement to soothe muzzie nerves would mean lots of money for use in real terrorist activities.
This is the most detailed account I have read of the incident, and they were clearly up to something, although I wonder if it may not have been simply a planned provocation rather than anything else. That is, enough of these false alarms and people will start looking the other way. These guys did everything but board the plane with a sign proclaiming their intentions to hijack the plane, so it was clearly meant to attract attention and provoke a response.
And now of course some of our beloved congress members are actually thinking of giving special legal protection to this group. I'd say their plan is working very nicely.
