Perhaps they will now convert it into room to plan how they can look "Christian" in front of religious voters.
You would figure Nancy would rather move into Tip O'Neill's old office rather than Newt's/Hastert's.
Unless, of course, she has been using Tip's old office since being elected Dem leader and has decided she wants a new office.
Talking about San Francisco values, I was sent the following via email. Take a look! The press conference talks a lot about San Francisco values.
This is a great video clip of a press conference out in SF
FINALLY! A BOSS WITH BALLS
Background: San Francisco Police Officer Nick Birco was killed July 26, 2006 when his police car was struck by a stolen van occupied by suspects who had just committed an armed robbery and were being pursued by SFPD units. This video was of a press conference given by a member of the SFPD brass. This demonstrates how administrators should act.

Yeah, but do you know the reason why? It's because the Republicans already had the good offices, and have had them continuously since 1953.
By the mid-1950's, control of the House had changed three or four times within a decade, going back and forth nearly every mid-term election. The Democrats won back the House in the 1954 mid-terms, but Speaker Sam Rayburn assumed the GOP would just win it back again during the Eisenhower re-election year of 1956. So he didn't bother to go to the trouble of having the Democrats take back the good offices, for what he thought would be only two years. Well, the GOP didn't win back the House for another 40 years, but in the meantime, they never surrendered those good offices. So they didn't need to take them back in 1994. They already had them.
Answer.... find another room..
The islamist Ellison is a democrat. I'm sure they're very proud.
Here's a link to the article that mentions how the Republicans never gave up the better offices when the Democrats won back the House in 1954:
http://www.townhall.com/columnists/column.aspx?UrlTitle=no_thanks,_were_stupid&ns=TonyBlankley&dt=10/18/2006&page=2
The relevant excerpt:
"In 1954, the Democrats, led by the great Sam Rayburn, retook the House after control had seesawed back and forth for 10 years (1944-Democrat; 1946-Republican; 1948-Democrat; 1950-Democrat; 1952-Republican; 1954-Democrat)
"Sam Rayburn (one of the shrewdest politicians ever to play the game) was so sure that the Republicans would take back the House in the Eisenhower re-election year of 1956, that when he became Speaker after the 1954 election, he didn't even bother to move his furniture back to the better office suite occupied by Joe Martin (the Republican Speaker who returned to Minority leader status after the 1954 Republican loss.) They decided to keep their previous office spaces rather than go through the bother of moving across the hall.
"As it turned out, the Republicans didn't re-take a majority of the House for 40 years (The Gingrich-led election of 1994). So for 40 years the Republican minority leaders got to keep the better office space (that looked out over the majestic Washington Mall), while the Democratic Speakers for 40 years got a view of the parking lot."
That's interesting. More interesting, IMO, is the question: WHY are there noticable differences in the quality of the offices?
I could see maybe a couple unique offices for the Speaker or Whips, and of course conference rooms ... but what brilliant mind designed the remainder of the 435 offices so that there were 'good' and 'bad' ones?
I'd love to see a couple pictures of the best and worst offices.
Thanks. Interesting. I'd like to see pictures, and a diagram of who has what offices.....might be interesting.
The Pagan caucus of the Democrat party will certainly want to convert it to a Wiccan chapel; if Keith Ellison (M-MN) doesn't want it for a mosque.
And you are dead sure about this?
