Republican Lessons Learned Session

Calling the Conservative Base to Speak to Conservative and GOP Leaders

The time and location for this important meeting has finally been set.  Please join Chris Stevens, other conservative leaders and other Republican Party leaders for a positive lessons learned discussion.  This is your chance to provide feedback on what has gone wrong and right both with policy and politics.  A wide open discussion will be had dealing with your views on national, state and local issues.  It will be up to you to discuss and comment on them.

·   Event: Conservative Base Listening Session

Free Bacon & Eggs Breakfast for Emailed RSVP’s Received by December 7 at   8am

·   Date/Time: Saturday, December 9th, 8:00am to 11:00am

·   Location: Elks Lodge, 623 Hanson Rd, Kemah, Texas

·   Target attendance agrees with

o  Basic conservative principles of small, effective government and lower taxes

o  Ideals of strong national defense, security and secure borders

o  Basic American social tenets of a Judeo-Christian society

o  Desire to see the Republican Party succeed and thrive in promoting the above goals

This session will be more about hearing FROM YOU than about speaking to you.  Some officials and activists will speak but everyone will be expected to keep comments short so that we can get around the room several times - NO LONGWINDED SPEECHES.  The hope is to hear both your carefully thought out comments as well as spontaneous input based on the input from others.

The audio will be made into a digital file and sent along with a key points transcript to Republican Party leaders, conservative movement leaders and elected officials across the state and nation.

Please come yourself and bring your neighbors.  Voters from the 2006 elections and those who stayed home are encouraged to come and offer thorough and broad feedback.

Similar events are popping up all over the country and the hope is that these grassroots reconnects will become the impetus for the Republican Party to return to its core ideals and start leading again.

That's okay. Kemah is a little rough at 8am.

Just come a little late and bring the curmudgeon if he'll come. It won't matter. Make sure and rsvp the orginizer at chrisstevens@YourTaxCut.com. (Let him know how many you're bringing.)

Republicans in every state should hold events like this. It's a wonderful idea.

Well the orginizer is just a stellar guy! If you go to the site I and email him I am sure he is willing to help you organize one in your local.

I think he wants to turn that www.yourtaxcut.com into a national assist page for conservative volunteers/activist. Also a more pedestrian connection full of tips and tricks on how to lower all kinds of tax burdens for normal people.

Hi "GulfBreeze"!

I wish I could. I live here in Lancaster, Pennsylvania.

I just noticed the thread and thought it was a great positive step. I then decided to give it a few good BUMPs!!

Perhaps we can get one of these "GOP/Conservative Lessons Learned Breakfast(s)" going up here. Thanks for a great idea! I really love the positive, affirmative steps in lieu of some of the whining!

The organizer sounds a bit sketchy, but this could be fun. Breakfast is early, but if we plan this out we can find a smoky place afterwards.

I've never seen a "stellar" guy before...

Is this anything like "Laser Zeppelin" at the museum???

I'm going anyway...Should I wear my stretchy pants???

[Somehow I just know I am going to catch grief for this...]

I know a lot of you may not live near Houston/Kemah but I wanted you to see what is going on. If you follow the contact, someone there can help you organize the same thing near you.
