The newspeople said, "Well, he should have known. They were speaking Spanish." Okay. Does that mean that every time we are greeted by a Spanish speaking worker at a fast food restaurant, or anyplace else, that we're supposed to ask about their immigration status?

The fact is, even employers are between a rock and a hard place. The huge majority of these people present phony documents. The employer could verify social security numbers every time they got an Hispanic applicant, but then they'd be sued for discrimination under Title VII.

Sheesh.

You sure about that? Ever heard of the Basic Pilot program?

When you employ someone and their social security numbers don't match, the social security administration will send the employer a letter saying so!

It is up to the employer to then fire the person who obviously has fake documents! Lots of employers just ignore those letters because they know they can get by with that.

The SS department doesn't really care either, they collect lots of money on phony numbers.

It's funny, so many freepers are pro amnesty and also anti Romney. I wonder if the illegals were offered amnesty or money to spill the beans. If this site is a cross section of voters we are indeed going to have a democrat president for many years to come. They are going to hold some relatively petty thing against republicans, and end up with a democrat with major flaws.

Do more open minded freepers not post to keep from being flamed?
