(CBS4) EAST LANSING, Mich. -- Protestors at Michigan State University disrupted Rep. Tom Tancredo's appearance Thursday night at the school in East Lansing, Mich. He was there to talk about illegal immigration.
The school's student newspaper reported that 10 to 20 protestors crashed the event and scuffled with the sponsors. Fire alarms in the building where Tancredo was speaking were pulled twice and the facility had to be evacuated.
The MSU College Republicans and Young Americans for Freedom on campus invited Tancredo to speak.
The Rocky Mountain News obtained an e-mail Tancredo sent to his staff describing the event.
"There were at least 3 incidents of physical violence by the protestors against College Republicans: one was spit on, one was kicked and one was punched," the e-mail said.
The message ended with one line: "Very exciting stuff."
Typical brownshirt disruption tactics.

Fascist left allows only one opinion, their own and uses violence to ruthlessly silence all other opinions.
The administration has apparently (google news) done nothing, giving tacet approval of these tactics.
Were the protesters Hispanic, Globalists or just your standard Leftists? Tancredo is a threat to them all.

The Stalinist Left is all about "Free Speech"... as long as they are the only one's speaking.
They are all about "Academic Freedom"... as long as they are the only people exercising it.
They are all about "Human Rights"... unless you are talking about the right to use a firearm to defend the lives of the humans in your family and their right to remain alive.
The Totalitarian Left and its infantile, spoiled, irrational zealots are a serious danger to our liberties and need to be confronted, exposed, embarrassed and crushed at every opportunity.
We can start by asking the Alumni of this university to withhold donations and any other support as an act of protest. The Alumni should also call the media and explain what they are doindg and publish it in the Alum publication.
We should also publish the names of every one of these gate crashing social rejects and expose them for the criminal vermin they are.
Next, the campus conservatives should print posters and publish articles that openly exposes these specific individuals and their ties to and support of facist, communist groups. These posters should be posted all over campus and around town.
Last, the campus conservatives should create a presentation to give and arrange for the media to attend. This presentation would expose exactly which communist groups these intellectually bankrupt, functionally illiterate tools openly support.
I don't live anywhere near this campus, but I hope someone reading this does and starts taking these actions. I will happily donate cash to print flyers exposing these diseased sewer rats.

Not unusual. Same thing happened at Columbia U in NYC. The left doesn't know how to behave or to debate.
The Universities in this country fell under fascist rule in the Sixties and it's only become worse since then.
I have no use for Tancredo but the destruction of free speech in the Universities is not a good thing.
To be honest, I don't think Tancredo should be speaking at a university anyway. Neither should Buchanan, Pelosi, either Clinton, Moore, etc. Universities should be places where yoots can learn from learned men and women, not political hacks. Why pay $30-40,000 a year to hear the same garbage one can hear on CNN or BBC or C-SPAN?
Unfortunately, professors themselves are not so learned these days and more closely resemble political hacks. It's why our universities are pretty useless for any academic task that isn't natural science.
The fact that crude fascism is no longer condemned is proof that universities are dead.
