If you can prevent cattle from spreading BSE/Scrappie perhaps we won’t need to treat people for the disease.

Yes I know the disease exist in humans outside of meat transmission but it was certainly much more rare in humans (outside of cannibalistic tribes) before it was found to be transmitted by eating the meat of infected cattle.

It is also complete possible that the disease had always been a disease acquired from infected meat.
