The case of U.S. Airways flight 300 gets stranger by the minute. When six traveling Muslim clerics were asked to deplane last week, it looked like another civil rights controversy against post-9-11 airport security.

Now new information is emerging that suggests it was all a stunt designed to weaken security….

Yesterday I spoke with a passenger on that flight, who asked that she be only identified as “Pauline.” A copy of airport police report, which I also obtained, supports Pauline’s account - and includes shocking revelations of its own. In addition, U.S. Airways spokeswoman Andrea Rader also confirmed much of what Pauline revealed…..

If the reports that these men checked no baggage and had one-way flight tickets are true, then this and the fact that they are admitted Muslims is exactly what should be scrutinized.

Not to mention that one of them had admitted contacts with Osama bin Laden.

Why didn't that "no-fly-list" have this guy's name on it?

Before the imams boarded, they were ``praying loudly in the gate area. Some were heard to be making statements against the U.S. involvement in Iraq,'' Pat Hogan, spokesman for the airport, said in an interview today.
Some of the six repeatedly said ``Allah'' as they boarded, then asked to change seats and requested safety-belt extensions that they put under their seats, Hogan said. One was overheard to say he would ``go to whatever measures necessary to obey all that is set out in the Koran,'' Hogan said.

It was obvious that it was a set up.

"It was obvious that it was a set up."

Sure seems likely.

The storm caused power outages and slowdowns. My son is working on getting his company back up now ( not related to this). Be patient.

Can't we just send them all back to Turdistan?

Damn, this is getting weary...

It ain't like they're here to join the local Elks club or something.

I turns out the prayed twice, which is not part of their religious routine among other discrepancies in their behavior.

They are becoming emboldened though and they are going to keep stretching the envelope and testing the systems.

I don't understand why these folks aren't being treated as we'd treat hooligans who shouted 'fire' in a crowded movie theater. What they did was dangerous, and most likely done with malicious intent. At a minimum they should face a jail term - and given that we are a nation at war, deportation is also in order.

Drudge must have crashed the Pajamasmedia website.

It finally loaded.

The passengers of this and future incidents should file class action lawsuits against the perpetrators.

Exactly right...isn't it unlawful to "joke around" about hijacking in an airport?

The imans had three objectives:
1) Further inflame Muslims against the USA by portraying America as a country that harasses and bullies them;
2) Test our aviation security arrangements;
3) Use the shopworn "profiling" dodge to intimidate law enforcement and airline personnel from taking reasonable and prudent measures to protect the flying public.
With the help of the MSM,the Imans achieved objective #1. Under a Democratic administration, security and scrutiny will almost certainly be downgraded, achieving objective #3. Pelosi has already said that the imans' removal from the plane may be a case of "profiling." God help us if these people ever again hold the Congress and the Executive branch.
