Thanks, Ivan.

I do hope all these hand-wringers will find something else to do this evening. I'm sick of listening to it.

I didn't know that GWB is no friend of George Mitchell. I just know that the Bushes seem to cater to all kinds of Democrats in a bid to try to get them to say something nice about them. Never seems to work, does it? Maybe Mitchell then won't be the choice. I would imagine he would not want the pay cut involved either.

IF so, the Dole seat would go Democrat.

I've seen a whole lot of garbage about Iraq and the war on terror on this forum in the past month, tx, since the left and their malcontent colleagues won the election.

If I were to do what my emotions tell me to do, I would leave this forum immediately. (And I'm sure that would make some happy).

I've been part of Free Republic for nearly six years now, and I have never before felt like there is no place for me here. I support the President. I support the mission in Iraq, and the reasons why it needs to be done, and the overall War on Terror, and yet I see that those like me are becoming the minority, and even friends are wavering.

Perhaps it IS time to 'move on.' But not from the President. From this forum.

(Sorry for venting......but lately, I feel like I'm in the Twilight Zone around here....)

Not me. I am sticking around just to spite them! And to annoyingly point out how WRONG their judgements are.

I intend to be the biggest thorn in the side these people have ever seen.

They deserve it.

My guess is George would have performed well on the Iraq study group.

I appreciate your sarcasm there.

He'll have a swell time at the UN if this report is true.

Unfortunately, I'd have to agree. It's a shame that Bolton is resigning, but the UN isn't worth a bowl of spit in the general scheme of things.

I know a good choice: Orrin G. Hatch, get him out of the Senate and a Republican governor can make the appointment on a temporary successor.

For the first time, this rumor makes sense.

Thanks, Ivan.

Just a reminder that Brit Hume's interview with the President will be on in about half an hour. Brit says he is NOT embattled, not demoralized, and seemed to be confident and serene.

Watch it and cheer up!

We hope that Bush might remember what Mitchell did to his father.

Oh, I'll stick around too..............even though not a one of them has the decency or guts to admit how wrong they are.

Thanks for the encouragement, Miss Marple.

I needed a kick in the backside. Sometimes I let these guys get me down........shame on me. That's exactly what they want.

I hope people learn that it is very dangerous to leap to conclusions. It allows people as inconsequential as Lincoln Chafee to create havoc.

If I had a dollar for every time people on this forum stampeded based on a rumor, I could retire a wealthy woman.
