another Ross Perot a.k.a. the spoiler?
that's how Clinton got in with less than half the vote both times. Is this part of their strategy? divide and conquer?
These people are just Perot wannabes. In the end, they'll end up with less than half of one percent of the vote.
Ross Perot was able to bankroll his own campaign. The previous non-liberal third party Presidential candidate that had a significant electoral impact, George Wallace, had the benefit of harsh public reaction against race riots, rapidly increasing crime, and the burgeoning hippie movement. The Constitution Party lacks either the deep pockets of Ross Perot or mass public outrage on social issues (though the latter could change if President Bush and the Democrats allow for amnesty for illegal aliens). However, unless the GOP nominates a conservative for President or someone like McCain or Giuliani has to make big time and public promises on curbing abortion, opposition to the homosexual agenda, gun ownership rights, immigration control, selection of conservative justices, etc., to hold the conservative base, the Constitution Party could serve as a spoiler, or for that matter the Libertarian Party.
Decisions, decisions. Liberal democreeps, or liberal republicans.
