Elements of USA culture were formed by Puritans who committed the first planned and possibly the only legal genocide on Irish Catholics. Native population of America was to large extent eradicated. Chattel style slavery was abolished the latest in Western world.

You cannot compare three thousand years of European history with two hundred years of USA. And USA is old as Europe - as de facto it is a part of Europe, you cannot understand America without her European past, America was not born fully formed like Athena from the head of Zeus.
America is the product of many cultures and influences. We have developed our own unique culture, history, and identity. There are significant differences between Europe today and the US. American achievements, inventions, wealth, etc. have surpassed what is now an aging, dying continent. Most of the countries in Europe are experiencing negative population growth. They are having difficulty in supporting overly generous social welfare systems with fewer and fewer workers. The energy and vitality of Europe have been sapped by two disastrous wars that killed over 70 million.
Europe is having a difficult time assimilating the third world immigrants who are overruning the continent. They are imposing their culture and religion on Europe and they are reproducing at a significantly higher rate than the natives. Europe is heading down the dark road to irrelevancy. It is becoming a museum populated by people living in the past and basking in past glories. The future no longer belongs to them. America is the last bastion of Western Civilization.
