I find this nonsense. We are slaughtering these people in record numbers, and even the mullahs have to be wondering how many more they will lose before their calls for "jihad" start to get a deaf ear. When you add to that the Iraqi army getting up and conducting its own operations; and the incredible carnage that the NATO forces are unleashing in Afghanistan, a more realistic comparison would be Omdurman, 1898. And we are the Brits.

Just like the Tet Offensive. We're hammering these people and the media is reporting the opposite. For each radical killed their is one less thorn in the side of the world. They wish to die for their cause and I think they should be accommodated. If the war stopped today these vigilantes will not be placated.

Coalition forces are the ones dying "in record numbers". For the FIRST time since the Iraq war started, we have lost 77 or more dead for 3 consecutive months.

The mullahs have 1.2 billion recruits to call from. This comparison will ring deadly true against US if President Bush continues to turn a blind eye towards Iran. When the Iranians start putting small nukes in the trunks of cars and park them next to the Green Zone....and in Kuwait and along the pipeline...it will make stalingrad look like a kindergarten fight.

We need to split it up in three and then split. Then we can get our military back on the offense instead of constant bullet/IED magnet patrol. Go after Syria with our conventional forces and go after Iran with ICBMs.
