The Bush family is an American treasure.
I contrast them with the Clintons and the Kerrys everytime I need to remind myself the difference between decent families of honor and those who are not.

My favorite comment from Sr was during the election 2000 debacle. A reporter asked him how his son was taking the whole mess and he said "Like a man".

I didn't care for him as a president, but I admire him as a human being.

Liberals are having a field day with this.

Liberals are having a field day with this. If Liberals have a "field day" of an old man who is proud of his son and weeps with pride, then it really shows their lack of character.
I think it is lovely and moving.

It shows one infomercial, and then the video for me.
Sorry, but I didn't invent PopUp Ad either.

Yeah, I can imagine what the DUmmies are saying. They can just shove it. Liberals can only wish they had a family worthy of comparing to the Bushes.

Just like George sr cried for Jeb. If you were Ted Kennedy's dad, you'd cry too.

that was humble pride. Humility to be embarrased and pride enought to thank those who can oversee the monent. A great family indeed.

I liked his style as Pres. I know it is not a feeling generally shared, but he was a lot like Eisenhower and Ford, who also performed the office well if not flamboyantly.

The Bush family is an American treasure.
I think political dynasties are kind of un-American. Generally, they don't work out. Only rarely in history is the second generation or later considered as substantial as the progenitor. An example of this would be the two Pitts of England, the younger of which was a sickly bookish lad who became prime minister and held the post for 17 years and later became prime minister again.
Generally, dynasties end up looking like the British House Of Lords, a pitiable melange of inbred twits.
