I think Rummy made a great SecDef, but Bush got rid of him for a guy who wants to negotiate our surrender, and tells Iran that we can't possibly take any action against them. Bolton made a great UN Ambassador, but Bush chose to support Chafee in RI instead of kicking his ass to the curb, and Chafee showed his gratitude by preventing the nomination from reaching the floor when the GOP had the chance.

If there is ever a conservative administration again, Bolton and Rummy will be great people to consult. Gates, Baker, Scowcroft, Bush I and II, and all their ilk, will go down in history as losers. Bush II will get some sympathy, but ultimately, he fell in with the losers.
