Dick Cheney's Daughter Pregnant
NewsMax ^ | 12/7/06

Mary Cheney, the openly gay daughter of Vice President Dick Cheney and wife Lynne, is pregnant, according to a published report.

Mary Cheney, 37, and her partner of 15 years, Heather Poe, 45, are "ecstatic" about the baby, due in late spring, The Washington Post reported in Wednesday's editions, quoting an unnamed source close to the couple.

The vice president's other, older daughter, Elizabeth Cheney, is on leave as deputy assistant secretary of state after having her fifth child with her husband in July.

There was no formal announcement of either daughter's pregnancy from the vice president's office, but the Post quoted spokeswoman Lea Anne McBride as saying Tuesday night that "the vice president and Mrs. Cheney are looking forward with eager anticipation to the arrival of their sixth grandchild."

Mary Cheney, 37, was an aide to her father during the 2004 campaign, as was Elizabeth, and now is vice president for consumer advocacy at AOL.

The Post quoted the source close to the family as saying the circumstances of Mary Cheney's pregnancy will remain private. She and Poe moved from Colorado to Virginia a year ago to be closer to the Cheney family.

In an interview with the Post six months ago, when asked if she and Poe wanted children, Cheney said that was a "conversation I think I should have with Heather first."

They may not have physical wants, but they will grow up emotionally damaged. Dads count. "He made them male and female" for a reason.

Read Meg Meeker's book "Strong Fathers, Strong Daughters".

Look for Kerry to bring this up in a debate in '08.

No, look for Dem party operatives to find a way to have Kerry's tongue botoxed in '08, to prevent him from embarrassing the party by participating in any debates, or by making any off-hand "jokes". They'll just bribe the doctor who's already botoxing other parts of his face to "accidentally" hit the tongue too.

Now, another baby can be brought up in a sinful household and learn to shun God and live a life free from moral values

Shut up.

Professional conservatives live the life of Washingtonians. They don't go to church as much as the rest of the nation and they don't behave like the rest of America, at least not those they represent. They live a life much like their liberal counterparts.

Rubbish.

My sister died 10 years ago of ovarian cancer.

My niece and nephew have seen their "father" exactly once a year since then.

Tell me again how "dads count."

Dude, the Democrats held Foley in their back pockets for years. The "poor innocent pages" were probably up and coming, bright and articulate gay boys who thought they were doing a great patriotic thing for the gay nation. 13 year old kids today know more than yesteryear's 22 year old.

This morning I was listening to the ABC radio news--the 3-4 minute newsbits they do at the top of the hour. When I heard the cheery-voiced announcer say that "VP Cheney was about to become a grandfather," my reaction was, "this is bizarre, ABC is so anti-Republican, what gives?"

Next thing I hear is that his lesbian daughter and her "partner" managed to manufacture a pregnancy. Of course, this was big news because it celebrated homosexuality. No media bias at ABC, of course.

The one who isn't giving birth going to be awfully jealous since she had NOTHING to do with it unlike a male father

Not all fathers had "something to do" with their children either. Ever heard of adoption?

Poor kid. May he or she somehow survive his mother's disordered choices and help lead her out of her wicked lifestyle.

On the other hand, perhaps growing up in a loving family and extended family, he/she will learn that wickedness can also come from those who are quick to condemn all who don't share their radical views.

Tell me again how "dads count."

Funny how you we're so quick to dump on & dismiss two other posters & then immediately proceeded to top them with an even dumber statement.

One personal experience, plus or minus whatever pertinent details you've left out, hardly justifies insulting ever good dad on FR.

Supposed 'conservatives' who promote gender bigotry & acrimony are doing the left's - and especially the radical feminist left's - work for them.

Boy, I must have struck a nerve with you, huh?

I did no such thing; I gave an incident in my life that shows not all dads "count."

Bite me.

They count when they are involved, acting like and being real Dads. Read the book and then we can have a discussion.

Sorry to hear about your family's troubles.

That was my point: WHEN they're involved, but you cannot say that just being a dad adds anything to a child's upbringing. Same thing with a mother. Sometime no mother or dad is better than the one that's "involved," if you understand what I mean.

Whether Dads are involved in their daughter's lives or not, it doesn't change the fact that their daughters need them. Read the book.

And I will not bite you, even if you tell me to.

I suggest having some rough edges removed from your personality - the bitterness comes through very clearly. The irony about bitterness is that it eventually turns us into the thing that we hate.

Merry Christmas.

Have you read the book about Motherless daughters?

And I suggest you stop believing that people who disagree with you have something wrong with THEIR personality.
