Riiiight. No one during the depression would have taken those jobs. Not the Irish or the Italians- like in my family. Spare me.

They have a much lower fall rate. Scientific studies have demonstrated they have a better sense of balance (in the inner ear) than other folks, so maybe that's the reason.

It's quite obvious there were not enough Mohawk to do all the work so it's not at all surprising they were able to drag a few starving Italians and Irish up on the girders with them.

Then there are the window washers ~ rarely a blue-eye among them.
