I'm wondering if Pat isn't considering retiring. He's up for election in two years and isn't doing any real fund-raising that I'm aware of and only has about $700,000 on hand. If he retires it'll be an interesting race because there aren't any Republicans in major state-wide office, and the probably Democratic candidate is well funded and well known in the eastern half of the state.

Roberts is considering leaving the Intelligence panel’s fierce partisanship behind

Remember when the intelligence committee was considered "non-partisan", as it should be, because it dealt with our nation's security?
