Damn Right!
Having seen the footage of the multiple shows she gave for the troops, Griffin has definitely earned a ton of slack from me.
I may not agree with her politics, but I admire her nonetheless.
How can you say that? (snicker)
The only people who hate Christianity more than Al Qaeda are Hollywood liberals.
Isn't she the "Is it... doable?" secretary of George Costanza?
Isn't she married to a washed up football player?
Why, yes she is.
Sorry, the fact that she spent a few days in country doesn't make her particularly special. Her willingness to go there isn't a cudgel that she can use to shut up those who disagree with her. After all, what does she know about the guy that booed? He might be a troop that was there a lot longer than a week (ala Griffin) or the parent of a troop. She's classless IMHO.
Worse than Sandra Bernhard, Roseanne Barr or Margaret Cho? Those three are the gold standard for annoying and unfunny.

No, just more willing to put her money where her mouth is than some career patriots who profit from their incessant flag waving.
They all do that. Nothing new. But you can't say he doesn't do anything for the troops, because he has.
I was not aware of this. I don't know much about Hannity. I consider him and Ingraham to be lightweights and unworthy of having nationally syndicated shows.
I still think you can flush Griffin and Franken. :)
I thought she was the un funny comic that did the Jerry Seinfeld is the devil bit in her own show (on Seinfeld) when he told her he thought she had no talent.
I think she also brought back the wrong BBQ sauce too.
She's a plastic surgery freak.
She is just a loud mouthed has been. Haggard was just a fraud and hypocrite. Maybe both of them should just go off together and never return.
I intend to keep it that way.
Bye.
(Give it thirty seconds...)
Dude, have a "rag on Hannity" thread if you want to and I might even join in with a few bars of my own. But Griffin apparently thinks she is exempt from criticism due to a brief visit to the green zone. If it had been me or my wife in her audience she would have spouted the same nonsense we would have ragged her ass and she would have still thought herself (smugly, but wrongly) justified in responding to us with that throw away line.
Griffin and Hannity are two separate topics, and she is still a loudmouthed know-nothing as far as I'm concerned.
I'm not a fan of Griffin and I fully understand your position. I just like to think that there's something worthy in most of us and I see her visit to Iraq (not 100% in the green zone) as worthy of a bit of respect.
I have to agree with you about Hannity: it really isn't all that hard to distinguish between the bogus ones and the real ones, and after all this time, Hannity comes across as bogus. I can't get one word out of my mind whenever I hear him: a word used to describe him at least 2-3 years ago by Russ Smith in the New York Free Press newspaper (NOT a leftwing rag), and that word is "meathead". It is not that he is on the "wrong" side of issues, it's that you will NEVER hear ANYTHING spontaneous from him, (as you hear from Rush as a matter of course): Hannity seems ALWAYS to be reading from the same list of talking points, which he has no problem with hammering away at endlessly ---kind of a one-size-fits-all approach to political analysis---he is indeed the most vacuous one out there, and it figures he would have the widest appeal/
Kathy Griffin, regardless of what she said on Larry King actually did go to Iraq and was unquestionably sincere in the way she related that entire experience on her last HBO Special, which was both hilarious and touching, and is one of GOOD GUYS overall, WAYYYYYY more even than any female comic I can think of. To have come out the way she did in her HBO special about our troops and her experience was enough to make me love her forever.
And her current boyfriend is in the military.....go figure...I guess she realized what real men were like!!!
Yeah, I saw a clip of her Iraq visit. Something big went boom pretty close to her hotel. You could see that she was scared s***less. I've seen that look on folks in real life and probably had the look myself once or twice. It's a defining moment and a true character test. She could have said see ya and nobody could have faulted her...but she didn't, she stayed.
