"When's Summer gonna be back? "
I asked Husband that the other morning. He said, "May. Same as every other year when you ask me that!"
Our retirement dreams are Hawaii or Alaska. Guess which way I lean? ;)
Huh?
You telling me the aim of Chicago's police force is questionable? ;o)
Shooting looters on sight is the time honored method of nipping it in the bud. Failure to do so is just another example of how soft hearted liberalism means freedom for criminals to prey on the law abiding. Failure to nip looting in the bud leads to rioting and out of control lawlessness as in L.A. and New Orleans. Hey, maybe I could go along with rubber bullets, but you have to crack down hard whatever you do.
I hear island living gets tiresome & is more expensive than the mainland. If I was forced to choose between the two though, it would be a no brainer. Aloha, here I come.
My ex used to talk about retiring somewhere up north. Did I mention he's my ex?
An old net bud just moved about as far south in the world as you can move. She's in like, the Antarctic Circle & we started talking about the weather. I mean, when you're seeing icebergs floating by, you'd think dang, that's cold. So anyway, she told me the temp range in her area is between zero and forty. But hold on to your hat, cuz we're talking Celsius, so the range of temps there are from about thirty two to a hundred plus.
LOL! Perfect.
"The policeman isn't there to create disorder. The policeman is there to preserve disorder."
The local NBC-affiliate infobabe described the building as "a very secure building." LOL Not when I'd bring donuts and coffee to my stockbroker-friend.
I humbly bow in the presence of greatness.
Illegal, alien, Muslim, Mexican, postal, student, drug-smuggling, Chinese, NASCAR, prozac-popping, tollroad workers of the Buildaburger Masonic Lodge
Left-handed or right-handed?
Don't forget--they watch "Spongebob Squarepants" and "Teletubbies."
Showing my ignorance. What is ROP?
Religion of Peas (but not Carrots)
Thanks. I should have figured that one out.
Handguns are illegal in Chicago. Which on ly goes to prove that when guns are outlawed, only outlaws have guns.
I work in the building immediately WEST of where the shooting was. We were on literal "lockdown" for more than an hour, with instructions from building security to stay in our workspaces, behind the locked (card access) doors. Lotta good those doors are, they're glass! ROFL!
For awhile, the police appeared to be chasing a second perpetrator, that panned out not to be true so as soon as they learned they'd already shot and killed the one and only perp, lockdown status was removed and we were allowed to exit our building.
Newscrews lined the street at Madison & Clinton, with gobs of IDIOTS mobbing the news crews trying to get their faces on the evening news.
I never understood that stupid mentality, but then stupid is as stupid does I guess.
I'd consider Alaska if we were in the southern, ocean-facing areas. I hear you can grow cabbages as big as your head up there.
However, one cannot live on cabbage alone. As my husband will find out, LOL!
I love Hawaii, but I was totally bored living in San Diego, CA. I like Four Seasons, no matter how much I complain. 73 degrees and sunny all year 'round is just weird to me.
