Ben Grantham of N and B Fence works on a 17-foot-long post, part of a planned 0.9-mile fence to be erected on rancher Richard Hodges' 372-acre spread. and my family,".
The section of new fencing on Richard Hodges' property, left, is dwarfed by the U.S.-Mexican border barrier between Douglas and Agua Prieta, Sonora. The Minuteman Civil Defense Corps would like to build another fence beside the current fence and encase it in a high-tech mesh to detect entrants. Kelly Presnell / arizona daily star
AREA OF FENCE
The Minuteman Civil Defense Corps is backing its big talk with a big fence. The volunteer border watch organization has financed and coordinated the construction of a 0.9-mile-long, 13-foot-high steel mesh fence east of Naco. So far, about a quarter mile is finished, with poles and holes marking the progress on the rest of the section.
To area residents like Leonel Urcadez, owner of the Gay 90s bar in Naco, the fence being built on private land in an area where few people travel other than Border Patrol agents, is a harmless boondoggle that won't do anything to stop illegal border crossers. "What can it possibly do?" said Urcadez. "They'll just go around it." Richard Hodges, owner of the 372-acre cattle ranch where the fence is being built, agrees the fence won't do much to protect the nation. But it is "going to do an awful lot for me personally, as far as protecting my cows, protecting me and my family," he said. "What it has done is brought so much attention, an awful lot of attention."

Despite what DC says, we are no longer a nation of the "rule of law."
Untill illegal alien laws are enforced, and illegals are deported, I will not change my stance on the above statement.
Then again, Washington doesn't give a sh!t what any lawabiding citizen thinks anymore.
I`ve got a little 210 acre farm in northern mid Tn, I can`t imagine what
it`d be like to have these illegles crossing my farm at all hours of the
day and night.
Tearing up fences, leaving trash behind, scary. Not much help from local law I
expect.
There should have been a major fence on the border 20 yrs ago ,maybe
this madness of 20 mil illegals here wouldn`t have happened, who knows?
But it is "going to do an awful lot for me personally, as far as protecting my cows, protecting me and my family," he said.
Get over it Mr Hodges, noone cares about you. Mexico's citizens are ALWAYS more important than America's citizens.
One thing this fence does is demonstrate a fence can be erected for less than a trillion dollars.

IBTFROBLS!!!
Big surprise that the ACLU hasn't filed a lawsuit against this American for wanting to protect his family and his property. The ACLU these days should be renamed the MCLU.

Illegal aliens are permitted to disregard the law, and since in this country the law is supposed to be enforced equally for all. I can only conclude that the laws have all been repealed and no longer apply.
Should I see a drunk driving through a school zone, I certainly won't bother calling 911, since the police don't bother enforcing the laws for all [except when it helps line their own pockets, of course!] and if one of the machete gangs happens to be woprking over a cop or cop's wife and kids, I guess it's no matter for me to take any personal interest.

I hate a sue happy society but what if WE banded together and filed a class action law suit against our government for, say, malpractice? Maybe 30 million signatures would open a few eyes. Nah, we would probably be arrested for a hate crime.
