What group hasn't faced many problems?
Thinking back 70 years, there was the Hun and the Rising Sun ... a few hundred years there was Global Cooling ... before that the Black Death...
I'm sorry to hear about your father-in-law, that's got to be tough. My mother is starting to show signs of senility & is becoming forgetful. My family all got together at Thanksgiving & had a great visit, but it was sad to see how quickly she is failing.
Well, I can understand why he doesn't mention Eric.

Oops! He played that roll like he was born for it.
ROLE!
The world is silent? This is a typical laundrys list that the left is screaming about every day on the tube.
The world is no worse than it was in Douglas' generation's time, The world always has a terrrible rash of problems. Genocide was many times worse under Hitler and Stalin.
Douglas was an entertaining actor, but he he took the lead in allowing the communist Hollywood 10 to be accepted in society again. He's always been a UN activist and his son has inherited the mantle.
You were definitely on a "roll" there.
Coffee, Don't fail me now!

Which must be why he's contributed to the campaigns of Bill Clinton, Carol Moseley Braun, Mike Dukakis, Joe Biden, Christopher Dodd, Howard Metzenbaum. . . .
Thanks. I was wondering who that person is.
Kirk Douglas has 5 sons, one is a special needs child, I believe. Parade magazine did a write up on him a while back. He mentions his famous son and daughter-in-law, because so many may not remember him, but they will know Catherine Zeta-Jones.
it is the human condition for the world to be in a "mess"............
Such an unpopular thought for so many to even consider, but you are so correct!
Liberal fantasies about "peace" are just that-----fantasies!
