Could there have been a worse president in the 20th Century?
Iran (the Shah) was our greatest ally in the mideast and this spineless coward pulled the rug out from under the Shah to appease a couple of 14th Century mullahs. The results in the mideast we are paying for today.

When you consider how many egregious wrongs can be laid at the feet of the Clinton Administration (Waco, Filegate, Travelgate, Coffegate, Rose Law Firm billing records, Cattlegate . . . ) and how disasterous the War on Poverty and Johnson's conduct of the Vietnam War were, and how FDR and Truman's administrations were riddled with Communists (Alger Hiss, poster boy), there is a case to be made that the "worst presiden ever" is always the last Democratic president.
