It's interesting that almost no one in the media pronounces Pinochet's name correctly. They tend to pronounce it as though it were French, rather than Spanish.

Actually I think it is supposed to be pronounced with a Breton accent. He is descended from immigrants from Brittany, which now speaks French but at the time of emigration was probably still dominated by Breton.
