DeLay: 'Hillary Will Be the Next President'
Human Events Online ^ | December 12, 2006 | Robert Bluey

Posted on 12/12/2006 1:03:56 PM PST by Quilla

Former House Majority Leader Tom DeLay said today that Sen. Hillary Clinton (D.-N.Y.) would be elected president in 2008 and would probably tap Senate colleague Barack Obama (D.-Ill.) as her running mate.

DeLay met with conservative bloggers at a weekly lunch meeting hosted by HUMAN EVENTS and the Heritage Foundation. He is making the rounds in Washington to promote his new blog and activism website, TomDeLay.com.

DeLay said he was motivated to start the blog and create the Grassroots Action and Information Network after observing the success of liberal organizations such as MoveOn.org, the Media Fund and Americans Coming Together. He said he hopes to utilize some of the same tools to help Republicans win elections.

It’s this liberal coalition, working in concert with the news media, that will propel Clinton to the White House in 2008, DeLay said. “Hillary will be the next president of the United States because they have built a coalition,” he said.

DeLay also implored conservatives to start digging into Obama’s past. He said Obama’s record in the Illinois Senate was on par with a “Marxist leftist.” Citing defeated U.S. Senate candidate Harold Ford of Tennessee, DeLay said Obama was attempting to disguise his liberal views. (Read Amanda Carpenter’s report on Obama and his conflicting rhetoric.)

DeLay named Clinton loyalists Harold Ickes, Sidney Blumenthal, James Carville, Paul Begala and Joe Lockhart as the masterminds behind the left-wing coalition. He said that these groups, more than anything else, contributed to the GOP’s fall this November. “I have never seen a more powerful coalition,” he said.

One such example of the coalition’s power played out precisely as planned in California’s 11th District. Republican Rep. Richard Pombo was toppled after facing an onslaught of attacks from the left.

DeLay said his goal in creating the new organization is to turn ideas into action. He said he will reach out to the diverse coalition of conservative groups and bring them together to rival the coalition built by liberals. Prior to the 1994 Republican takeover of Congress, DeLay said he employed a similar strategy that the GOP has gradually abandoned.

One day after launching the new website, DeLay said he’s had 100 people pay the $52 per year to join the Grassroots Action and Information Network.

He's right you know. based on where we are in the world right here, it's smart politics too! Sorry fellow white guys but it's time for a black man to hold up the beacon of hope and the miracle that is America to the rest of the indigenous (read non-white) people of the world. He's more valuable than 50 trillion dollars worth of Karen Hughes PR. His daddy repudiated Islam ove in Kenya in favor of the love of Jesus Christ. And she was settled on last year by leaders from both parties IMHO. Bill Clinton and Obama are going to try and save us from a fiery death at the hands of brown people. Sorry but my tagline demands I..

The corrupt Clinton's have been in politics for many years. Plenty of time to fine tune voter fraud on a national scale.

Well....we have to try....and hope that enough of the media will report the truth and enough people pay attention.

"working in concert with the news media"

The media will have to take a big share of the blame for the misdeeds of the next Democratic President.

We walloped em with a stick. Now we are going to try carrots for a while. Right or wrong is really beside the point. It's setting up to be what it's setting up to be. Only a blind man politically cannot see what's coming.

"The American people, by electing Shrillary in 2008, will get the socialist utopia they would richly deserve."

Unfortunately, that's what will likely happen, absent a miracle candidate for the Republicans appears VERY soon, who could counter the MSM and the Hildabeast machine.....

Actually the war has been a military victory. It is true that the Treason Media has convinced those with no knowledge that it has gone badly.

Three thousand deaths in a three+ years is unbelievably small. Treason Media predictions prior to the war was that there would be thousands of deaths just taking Baghdad.

All forgotten in the spreading of the Official Treason Media lies.

Not likely. The Congress is still fairly conservative and probably will be for the next 6 years or so.

Did he predict that she would be in prison?

She's hasn't been indicted yet. He has.

Thanks, in part, to him and his Congressional spendthrift buddies we are governed in two branches by Democrats.

That may have been their original plan, but Barakamania has come down on her. I'd just as soon see him take her out then we can focus on him.

Nice! Some of my greatest memories were when I worked in Edmonton and visited there. Many people in our company skied by helicopter lift.

"Great cheerleading effort there, Tom"

Unfortunately, unless things change, AND FAST, he's right...

Winning a National Election is about Money, organization, money, and money....

She's had 6 years to buy favors with tens of millions of dollars in other people's money, and to put together the groundwork for a run...

She gets incredible amounts of free publicity, and is the darling of the Media Left.

She and Dem issue groups will get HUNDREDS OF MILLIONS OF DOLLARS from overseas, as well as from rich Dems...

This is "The Great Payday" Washington Dems have been salivating for for a Decade. Every wonk in DC will be begging at the table for thier scrap of the commissions alone.

And if this election taught us ANYTHING, it's that the media no longer even tries to hide thier leftist bias anymore, and THE TRUTH will never be known by the vast majority of the sheeple, who will be presented with the Hillary/Obama ticket by a breathless media...

The sad fact is that Tommy boy is most lkely correct.

I never believed that Bubby would be elected once, no less twice!

When Hitlery is elected Bill will be doing the interviews for the new interns and "Osama Obama" will be parking cars at the White House.

the "media" will minimize and /or cover up any Klinton problems because the liberal media wants to see dems win. the obama-hussien -Klinton tickethas the liberal media salivating already and obama-hussein's socialist voting record has not really been scrutinized by the public nor will it be if the liberal media does not want it to be.
this whole obama rock star bs is entirely a creation of the leftist media.

"Bad news but likely."

Unfortunately, this is what I've been thinking for quite some time. Perhaps I have it all wrong, but it appeared to me that Hillary was the foreordained candidate and likely winner from the time that George Bush, the Elder, "adopted" Bill Clinton and the Bush family began to fall all over themselves in sucking up to the Clintons and paving the way for the Clintons to return to power no matter what nasty things the Clintons said about them. There is no Republican on the horizon who will be able to raise enough $ to draw the fractured party back together and give her any opposition IMO. I think 2006 was only a sample of what will come in '08, so I think governing will be a snap with even more House and Senate seats going to the Democrats. I wish I would be surprised, but seriously doubt it.
