Most of the "vision" material is remarkably similar to written documents available at that time ~ the history part is newer and was added AFTER the Arabs seized Damascus.
So, what documents are those? One of them has been identified as a Christian missionary guide developed in Damascus for use by missionaries to Mecca.
Other items are undoubtedly torahs buried, and found in and around Mecca ~ quite possibly in the "cave" where Mohammad is supposed to have met an angel.

Quite possibly so. It was recently established that the Delphi Oracle went into a trance and got her visions by inhaling ethane gas leaking into her cave.
