I'd wager a minimum of 90% of those 2/3 couldn't find either Iran or Syria on a map.
Good one.

I misunderstood the question, I thought they asked if I want us to BOMB Iran and Syria. Of course I said "Yes please".

"Almost two-thirds of Americans favor the Baker-Hamilton commission recommendation for direct negotiations with Iran and Syria,"
Proof that two thirds of Americans are fools. If you asked them "why?" the would mouth some thing about "it never hurts to talk" or "it is only fair" or "maybe they can help", or something else stupid.
I fear for our country.

"Americans want?" No one asked me.

The population is suffering from fatigue and has no clear idea on what's really going on. The population is suffering from ignorance and lack of knowledge, as well as logical thinking skills. But the good news is, self esteem is high.

As Dr. DoLittle sang on Rush's show - If we could talk to the terrorists, just imagine it - That was to catchy of a song. My kids were singing it in the grocery store and laughing, had to keep telling them to knock it off.

They KNOW the power of the press is quite formidable, and they intend to use it. And that is because they have all forgotten about Daniel Pearl. These people would be first in line for having their heads loped off by the Islamio-facists, but they don't care.

History shows that when negotiating with your enemy you must negotiate from a position of strength. In this case America is on the down side.
Negotiations are out of the question. America must turn the problems around in Iraq through force of arms. Then perhaps we will negotiate with the Iranians.

If this poll is genuine, America has finally hit the dustbin of history.
Such a result would NEVER have occurred in a poll relating to negotiating with Tojo or Hitler in WW2.

The majority of those two third are bunch of idiots who do not know where Iran and Syria are located. No talks with the two top terrorist regimes in the world who are at war with us not just in Iraq but also in Lebanon.

We know exactly what the terrorist regimes in Tehran and Damascus want: They want us defeated, they want to control Iraq, they want to control Lebanon, they want to control all the Middle, all its oil resources, they want nuclear weapons, and they want to destroy us and Israel. If you do not know this by now, then you are in a very pathetic state.
PS: We did not negotiate with Nazi Germany, or Imperial Japan, or Fascist Italy, we defeated them.

We picked up a $1 DVD a few months ago at Walmart, WWII, The German Front, Prelude to War, 4 hours of documented footage (Excellent) - any how - the clips in this of some Americans talking about whether we should "involve" our selves or not were something. Same of selfish stuff coming out of some of their mouths and quite proud of themselves also for their foolish anti-war stand. "It's their problem, what's it got to do with us" etc.
To: Esther Ruth
Yes, but that was probably BEFORE Pearl Harbor. At taht point, most Americans just wanted to stay out of it.
Once we were attacked, anyone advocating negotiating with Hitler or Tojo would probably have been torn apart.
What is interesting is that members of leftist cells in America like Bella Abzug, opposed U.S. entry into WW2 until Hitler turned on his buddy Joseph Stalin. Then they too supported the war,

The proper follow up question is "Have you read the Baker-Hamilton Report?"
Of course not.
Useless survey with useless propaganda from the left.
Read the tag line. They are taking over.
