I don't see how Nifong lets go. If he drops this case he will have to answer to the howling mob that elected him and explain why he did not do so earlier to everyone else.

Nifong cares not one jot about the guilt or innocence of the players. He can use them to feather his own nest and get even against the rich white boys.
