PORTSMOUTH - The head of the Portsmouth police departments Special Operations team was arrested this morning on a charge of conspiracy to distribute cocaine.
Lt. Brian Keith Mohammad Abdul Ali, a 21-year veteran of the police department, and Gregory Mondell Elliott Sr. were both arrested on the charges this morning at about 8:30 a.m., according to a statement released by Ann Hope, a spokeswoman for the department.
Ali was suspended without pay pending the outcome of the investigation. The case is being investigated by the Portsmouth police department and Virginia State Police.
The perp.
Man, the head of the SWAT team is a dope dealer? They should have sent the FBI SWAT team to raid his house in the midst of the night and shoot him.
Another fine upstanding member of the Nation of Islam?
What a shock!

WOW that lots of coke MAN that remind me of Scarface
I don't know if he's a member of the NOI gang or not. I believe that converts discard their " slave " names.
Just another dirty virginia cop, we've got thousands of them. They caught a town cop with an unregistered machine gun last year. He said he was a cop and didn't have to register his machine gun. He could have just said I'm above the law, last I heard they never fired him. Barney anyone.
Since this is a police thread I'll use it to post my "I now hate police" opus.
I just got a ticket for not only speeding when I wasn't, but I also got a ticket for having a dealer installed license plate holder that covered the plate by only 1/4 of an inch and did not obstruct the plate in any way.
I don't know ANYONE who has ever gotten a ticket for that! I was polite to the ahole up to the point he gave me the ticket for that absurd charge.
Sure I can take it to court but the court costs and the time spent will destroy the benefit to doing that. Cop crooks win either way. Pay it they win, pay court costs, they win.
It was a cop named Farouk Bashir (likely TROP member) and I have a Jewish last name. Gee, do you think leaving certain "crimes" up to the officer's discretion is a good idea? Nahhh, bias never comes into play does it? Petty tyrants and power trippers....
